Instructional Effectiveness Certification
Is the Positive Outcome
Based on the on-site observation, individual instructors may be awarded valuable certification, including:
Emerging Instructor
Awarded when the observed instructor displayed developing instructional competencies. Usually this certification is awarded to educators who have recently entered the educational area, and are not yet displaying the fully developed competencies of a skilled instructor.
Effective Instructor
Awarded when the observed instructor displayed overall competency in instruction with positive behaviors apparent. The skilled instructor demonstrates mastery of many of the skills to provide effective instruction.
Highly Effective Instructor
Awarded when the observed instructor displayed excellent instructional competency with primarily strongly positive behaviors apparent. This individual should be evaluated in depth for possible award of higher levels of recognition.
Additional Certifications can be obtained upon the completion of a more comprehensive evaluation, including multiple observations and interviews. These advanced certifications include:
Expert Instructor
The instructor displays not only strongly positive behaviors, but sets a standard for others to follow and maintains a continuous effort toward improvement.
Master Instructor
This instructor has the knowledge and capacity to teach others the skills and nuances required to become a Master Educator, and displays these capabilities in an unrelenting manner.
